Anna-Mareen Henke studied German and Romance studies with a focus on cultural, film and theatre studies at the University of Cologne. She received her master’s degree in the subject of ‘Forms of participation in German contemporary theatre’. During her studies, she worked at the Goethe Institut Buenos Aires, the Schauspiel Köln and at the Impulse Theater Biennale. She has been working as a freelance project director and dramaturge since 2017 and has headed the “School of Political Hope” together with Georg Blokus and Corinna Ujkasevic. Since 2019 she is the Artistic Director of Sommerblut Kulturfestival. At MOUVOIR / Stephanie Thiersch, she co-ordinates and co-curates the program GASTGEBERSCHAFT Tanzpakt Stadt-Land-Bund, which aims to strengthen the position of dance within the international and national cultural landscape.
