Anna Volkland

Anna Volkland studied dramaturgy at the University of Music and Theatre in Leipzig and Theatre studies at the FU Berlin. 2008 she was awarded the first Marie-Zimmermann-scholarship and co-founded the Leipziger Werkstattmacher e.V. In 2010/11 she was engaged as a dramaturge at the theatre Osnabrück and edited the TdZ-research publication “Die neue Freiheit. Perspektiven des bulgarischen Theaters”. Since 2010 Anna is writing articles for various professional magazines (tanz, tanzraumberlin, dramaturgie, Theater der Zeit, Die Deutsche Bühne) and working as a freelancer dramaturgue for theatre and dance. Since October 2014 Anna is working as a research associate at the Berlin University of the Arts.
